The Story of Estrella tells the tale of a nine year old girl with strength of heart, who is called upon by the elders of her village to rescue her land, the Forest of Stars, from the hold of the Shadow Hand.  The Hand is a creature of the dark realms who has stolen the Book of the Tale, the Book that records all that passes in the Forest as it unfolds.  The Shadow Hand intends to re-write the Book in his image, placing himself as sovereign over the darkened world. Estrella agrees to undertake the elders’ appeal with the aid of Mystal, the enchanting Horsewoman, who acts as her guide.  After overcoming a series of trials, Estrella faces the Shadow Hand.  A struggle ensues, the young girl retrieves the Book of the Tale and destroys the dark creature, thereby saving her land.
